Active Release Technique®
Active Release Techniques® (ART) has become one of the most sought-after soft tissue treatments in the world today. It is one of the most effective forms of treatment for a wide variety of soft tissue and repetitive motion injuries. ART® is widely used by industry professionals for cumulative injury trauma as well as for athletes (both professional and week-end warriors) who have suffered from a sports-related injury. It is the standard of care at all Ironman triathlon events and especially at the big race in Kona, Hawaii.

Dr. Karl E. Tarkanyi is one of the few Ironman Performance Care Biomechanics Certified Active Release Technique providers in the state of Michigan and the first in the Metro Detroit area. Extensive post-graduate education is required to become an ART® certified practitioner, and annual recertification is required to maintain ART® certification. Check our events page to see which local events Dr. Tarkanyi is sponsoring and treating athletes.
