Dr. Karl E. Tarkanyi was born and raised in metro Detroit. He and his wife Michelle live in Novi with their three children; Carter, Klare and Cora. Dr. Karl attended the National College of Chiropractic where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology, and his Doctorate in Chiropractic. He graduated in December of 1994, and established KET Chiropractic Center in Novi the following year. Dr. Karl incorporates a variety of chiropractic, soft tissue and rehabilitative techniques into his treatment plans. He is one of the few certified Active Release Technique (ART) providers in the area, earning a full-body certification in 2005, and a nerve entrapment certification in 2007. Dr. Karl is the only registered provider in the state of Michigan with the ART Biomechanics, Masters and Elite Provider Network certifications. He was selected to be the ART Corporate Solutions Elite provider for Pepsi Bottling Group of Detroit and Howell, where he treats employees with a wide variety of chronic occupational injuries. Dr. Karl is an active member of the Michigan Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Karl and Dr. Hegger agree that while treating a patient according to their symptom(s) may bring relief, it is only a portion of quality patient care. They strive to identify and treat the underlying cause of the symptom in order to help their patients achieve long-term pain relief and improvements in their overall quality of life. Their treatment plans are unique to each individual and will vary according to the patient’s past medical history, current presentation of symptoms, biomechanical stability and function, and personal goals. They are more than willing to work hand in hand with other health care practitioners to ensure their patients are receiving the best care possible.
